Can anyone do the Referees Exam?

Members who want to take the referee exam will have to be a member of the federation for at least one (1) year.

What does the exam consist of?

The federation have created our own referee exam consisting of 85 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) that includes questions only for Classic Powerlifting. All reading material can be found in the rule book, here.

The exam is two-hours long and applicants, after passing the theory will sit a practical exam at the next competition to referee. If the applicant is successful at both, they are now a National Referee.

What benefits do we get for officiating at events?

Effective on 1st January 2024, referees that have successfully officiated at:
One (1) National Qualifier & Brunei Powerlifting Nationals
will be entitled to free PFBD Annual membership.
