I had gotten Aziz as a coach leading up to 2 powerlifting competitions in 2017 and 2018. The programs were straightforward, easy to use and very effective in helping me build immense mental and physical strength as well as technical improvements in form without much gain in bodyweight and Aziz as a coach prioritizes his clients into putting in effort into the workout and pushing themselves where necessary. A combination of his training program and coaching allowed me to progress at a very fast rate with 30-40kg gains in the powerlifts in only a year. For both competitions that he coached me, I had managed to break a total of 3 world records under the Global Powerlifting Alliance federation with only 2 years of powerlifting experience; U56kg all time deadlift record with 212.5kg, U60 sleeveless squat with 152.5kg & also the U60 deadlift record at 260kg. I highly recommend hiring Aziz for anyone interested in getting started in powerlifting and wants to greatly increase current strength in the lifts.

When I started out powerlifting, I would’ve never imagined where I got if it weren’t for Aziz as my Coach. I didn’t know what I was doing at first, but he guided me throughout my powerlifting journey. As a coach, we worked together to achieve my goals in strength and weight. He understood my wants and needs in the sport, which is something important in order to build a bond between coach and athlete. He structured programmes according to what I needed to work on to achieve my goals. Apart from this, he was a great motivator and made sure I never quit when the going gets tough. It is something that he lives out daily as an individual, which I think translates to his athletes like myself. Just like how much he pushes himself through training, he does so with his athletes. Most importantly, I got the results that I wanted with him as a coach. My powerlifting goals were far from what I imagined I could have achieved. I secured two gold medals in two competitions under his coaching and I think that says a lot about him as a coach. I am also now more equipped with the knowledge of this sport and I owe it a lot to him. Without his guidance, I don’t think I would be where I am now and I wouldn’t have achieved my medals without his support.

I fell in love with powerlifting and the idea of getting stronger and who else to look to for coaching than the strongest guy in the gym? I remember being in awe of how much weight he would lift and how dedicated he is to the sport. I talked with Aziz back in July 2020 with the possibility of him coaching me as I believed that his training style would greatly benefit mine. The results that I achieved under him were far from what I expected out of myself. He has always been a very hands-on coach from the beginning. I believe that I could have achieved more if it weren't for my own shortcomings from a nutritional standpoint. However, the gain in strength and mental resilience has benefited me tremendously in the gym and in the outside world.

His style of programming and coaching is not something that everyone will agree with as it is the very definition of balls to the wall. When my friends found out about what I have programmed for me, they shook their heads in disbelief. I was (maybe still am) a scrawny kid and being given the sheer amount of volume and heavy weight, they gave me about 2 months until I’d get my first injury from powerlifting. Didn’t get injured though, I still got stronger than within a very small time frame.

I competed in the FitFest powerlifting meet in July 2021 under Aziz and he made sure that everyone one of us athletes got an equal amount of attention and dedication to make sure that we perform as our best selves. I gained very little mass under Aziz, only gaining about 2kg in bodyweight (55kg to 57kg). However, my squat and deadlift increased by 20kg from 140kg to 160kg and 180kg to 200kg, with a lot more in the tank. My bench-press is still a work in progress though. All in all, I’m glad to have made the decision to have Aziz as my coach.
